Perfectly cooked, juicy chicken breasts every time with this simple method. Great for meal prep or adding to salads, pastas, and more.

Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 6 oz each)
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp dried thyme
  • 1/2 tsp dried oregano

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Pat chicken breasts dry with paper towels. This helps them brown better.
  3. In a small bowl, mix together all the spices (salt, pepper, garlic powder, paprika, thyme, and oregano).
  4. Rub chicken breasts with olive oil, then sprinkle the spice mixture evenly over both sides of each breast.
  5. Heat a large oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat. Add chicken breasts and cook for 3-4 minutes until golden brown.
  6. Flip chicken breasts over and immediately transfer the skillet to the preheated oven.
  7. Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C) when measured with a meat thermometer.
  8. Remove from oven and let rest for 5 minutes before slicing or serving. This allows juices to redistribute.
